Training
Falcon-Care ensures that all our carers go through a robust training programme before commencing employment.
All care workers undertake an initial induction programme introducing them to our organisations and embedding our values and ethos, aims and objectives and policies and procedures. Our induction programme also provides an introduction to care.
We're by your side
All carers upon commencing employment will undertake the care certificate which takes 12 weeks to complete. The care certificate is a set of 15 standards that sets out the knowledge skills and behaviours expected in Health and Social Care and must be completed by all staff new to care.
As part of our ongoing training all staff within 6 months of commencing employment will be enrolled on to a level 2/3 diploma in Health and social care depending on their experience in the care industry. This is usually completed within 12 months.
Training
Before commencing employment all care workers will complete face to face practical training and E Learning in:
- Moving and Handling
- First Aid/ Basic Life Support
- Medication
- Health and Safety
- Infection Control
- Food safety/hygiene
- Hand Hygiene
- Pressure Sore/ Skin integrity
- Safeguarding
- Mental Capacity And deprivation of liberty safeguards
- Fire Safety
Other Training
All staff must refresh their training every 12 months. Falcon-Care continue to provide ongoing training and professional development to all our staff.
