Learning / physical disabilities
At Falcon-Care we believe that everyone with a learning disability can lead a full and happy life with the right support, which is tailored to their individual needs.
A learning disability refers to a reduction cognitive ability due to brain functionality, which means learning new skills, engaging with other people, or understanding complex information can be difficult without specialist support.
Learning disabilities can vary in severity; some people will have a learning disability but be able to live a normal day to day life independently; other people may have a severe cognitive impairment and require either minimal support or more complex support as some individuals may have additional physical disabilities or mental health conditions.
We can pop in once or twice a week or provide up to 24-hour care. Our care and support workers have practical experience of meeting a wide range of complex care and support needs for people receiving care in the community. We have care and supports who are trained to respond to different communication needs, autistic spectrum disorders, physical disabilities, and sensory impairment.
Falcon-Care staff knew exactly what support my son needed, they were able to accommodate his needs. He looks forward to their visits.
